The information on this website is provided as a public service by the City of Lynn Assessing Department. We are located in Room 202, Lynn City Hall, 3 City Hall Square, Lynn, MA 01901.   Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday.  Information on how to contact us is available on our web page by clicking on the City seal.

Current assessment information is for fiscal year 2018, with an assessment date of January 1, 2017. Property data is current through June 30, 2017. Ownership information is current through November 30, 2017.

Since the statutory assessment date for fiscal year 2018 is January 1, 2017, any changes that have occurred in the real estate market since January 1, 2017 are not reflected in the FY2018 assessments, as any change in market values that occurred during 2017 and 2018 will have occurred after the assessment date. FY2018 assessments reflect the real estate market as it existed in late 2016. The real estate market as it existed in late 2017 will be reflected in the fiscal year 2019 assessments, based on a statutory assessment date of January 1, 2018. THose assessments will be finalized and made available on this site in December 2018.

The first three character segment of the parcel ID indicates the map number of the parcel. Some property information may have changed after this listing was created. Ownership changes are continually being updated, as are data changes from new construction or recent inspections. A summary listing, including parcel identification, ownership information, use code, and assessed valuation, is available to the general public. Hardcopy printouts of the listing are available for $13.00 each. A downloadable Excel file is also available at no charge. Mailing addresses for current owners are available only on the Excel file. Information on both current and prior year tax rates can be obtained by accessing our web page. Please note that for fiscal year 2018, the tax rates are estimated only at this time, as the rates have not yet been approved by the state Department of Revenue.
